Hi, I’m Lexi Ray — a photojournalist and sports content creator with experience in both news and athletics media. I’ve worked as a photojournalist at First Coast News, covering breaking news, community stories, and live events, and as a content creator and social media manager with the Jacksonville Armada FC, producing game-day photography, highlight reels, and digital storytelling for both home and away matches.
My background also includes sports communications with Flagler College Athletics and serving as Photo Editor and Staff Writer for The Gargoyle, where I created features and photo projects that highlighted athletes and community stories. Whether I’m on the sidelines, behind the lens at a press conference, or capturing an athlete’s personal journey, my goal is the same: to tell authentic, engaging stories that connect with people.
When I’m not out taking pictures I enjoy riding and competing my horses. I have had the opportunity to go to amazing places to compete, my favorite being representing the United States in South Africa in 2023.
I love all animals! I have 4 dogs and 2 horses! My animals are basically my children and are spoiled as such. And occasionally become models for me.
Photography is my passion. I love the ability to freeze a moment in time to be remembered forever. Whether it’s sports, an event, or a portrait it all deserves to be remembered.
